It is helpful to know if you have a Carer (someone who takes on an unpaid caring role) or if you are a Carer for someone else. We have a page dedicated to Carers where you can also register with us as a carer so we can provide you with additional support.
The practice does not hold specific clinics, but does review patients on a regular basis who have long-term illnesses and we also undertake well-person checks to help with prevention management.
Examples of conditions managed are:
- Heart Disease
- Well Woman
- Well Man
- Elderly Screening
- Mental Health
- Rheumatoid Arthritis
The above clinics are run by either the doctors or the practice nurses. These are to monitor and medically supervise patients.
At the moment we do not have a nurse prescriber however in time we are hoping that this will change.
You can get advice from your Pharmacy first for Urinary Tract Infections or Impetigo.
Some services provided are not covered under our contract with the NHS and therefore attract charges. Examples include the following:
- Medicals for pre-employment, sports and driving requirements (HGV, PSV etc.)
- Insurance claim forms
- Prescriptions for taking medication abroad
- Private sick notes
- Vaccination certificates
Medicals are carried out on a Tuesday afternoon.
The fees charged are based on the British Medical Association (BMA) suggested scales and our reception staff will be happy to advise you about them along with appointment availability.
